STAC’s continued fascination with spiral stairs has resulted in a stair made of Oak, Cork, mild Steel & hand cast float Glass.

Part of the fun during the process was attempting to bend a solid piece of Oak in order to clad the underside of the spiral.

The end result was achieved by slicing up a plank of oak, laminating it back together in a curve then hand finishing it to achieve a low tech bent piece of timber that appears almost digital.
