A fantastic opportunity arose to build a new cottage within the grounds of the original farmhouse, research found that an original small cottage of some kind stood in the location of the old orchard adjacent to the farmhouse. Planning permission was duly gained for a 4 bedroom cottage and separate garage in keeping with the local vernacular located close to the street as the original had stood.

The design reduced the bulk of the building along the street frontage by keeping much of the accommodation in a rear facing wing, this allowed the scale at street level to in keeping with the village setting. The house was finished off with a large inglenook fireplace, oak floors and doors throughout and a designer modern kitchen completed the interior.
