Winner, Fast/Casual Restaurant of 2015

6 October 2015

STAC are happy to announce that we have just won restaurant of the year award in the Fast/Casual category of the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.

The RABDA now in its seventh year is the only Awards in the world dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces. This covers every imaginable space, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups.

Judged by a panel of some of the most influential personalities in design, hospitality and lifestyle globally, this edition of the Awards attracted over 860 entries from the UK as well as 70 other countries around the globe.

Nando’s Loughton, the first ever restaurant completed by STAC won over the judges with its imaginative use of up-cycled car bonnets, timber Gridshell ceiling and 30 tonne rammed earth wall made with locally sourced clay from the Thames estuary.

We are thrilled with the result and would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that made this venture possible and brought to life an award winning result.
